Faith Bickner
Community defense attorney
Faith (she/they) is a Staff Attorney with the Community Defense Team. Her background is in protest defense and advocacy for unhoused relatives and neighbors. An abolitionist and a Quaker, Faith is passionate about building community with folks incarcerated or othered by discriminatory systems and holding authority accountable when power is abused.
Before joining the Legal Rights Center, she represented inmates impacted by for-profit prison labor contracts, residents of the Leech Lake, White Earth and Red Lake Nations (with particular attention to the movement to Stop Line 3) and defended clients for the Hennepin County Office of the Public Defender. Faith loves hiking, night swimming, playing the piano, and the Fourth Amendment.
