Joey Gebin
COMMUNITY STRATEGY PROGRAM FELLOW
Joey is a student fellow from Macalester College ’27. She is pursuing a B.A. in Art History and International Studies with a concentration in Legal Studies. Originally from Compton, California, and currently living in Orlando Florida, she is passionate about increasing accessibility for BIPOC communities in legal spaces. When not at school, work, or extracurriculars, you can find her enjoying music, matcha, arts, and a new knitting project.
Joey works with LRC staff to develop accessible communications through research, social media posts, written blogs, and videos – explaining current events and important legal topics related to the criminal legal system to a wide variety of audiences. She also works to support the development of public events relating to legal education and co-facilitates Know Your Rights trainings in schools and community spaces.
