Madison Moore

Restorative Facilitator & Youth Advocate

Madison Moore (she/her) joined the Legal Rights Center as a Restorative Facilitator and Youth Advocate in the fall of 2023. She previously did youth diversion work in addition to youth programming that focused on social-emotional learning. She is now looking forward to working with young people and their families in the school setting.

She believes using restorative practices in schools is an important tool to reduce the use of exclusionary discipline methods and keep students in school. This is in an effort to increase student success, increase equity, and interrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. Madison is passionate about lifting youth and families’ voices and increasing connection and belonging in schools. She especially appreciates the power of storytelling to build understanding and strengthen relationships.

Madison is also an advocate for restorative practices in school because it aligns well with the framework of positive youth development. Using restorative practices in schools is a developmentally appropriate way to solve conflict and repair harm.

In her free time, she likes to spend quality time with family, friends, and her dog, Henley. One of Madison’s hobbies is traveling and eating great food from around the world. She likes to learn the story that food can tell about the people making it.
