Lyle joined the Legal Rights Center in 2025 as a Liman Law Fellow. Lyle works on the First Defense Project, a new initiative to expand access to early-stage counsel in Hennepin County. Lyle graduated from Yale Law School in 2024. In law school, Lyle worked in a federal criminal defense clinic and co-led a student practicum working to intervene in the criminalization of queer and trans youth. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey M. Bryan at the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. Outside of work, Lyle enjoys walking, picking berries, and fly fishing the driftless region.
